| John F. Kennedy, while in
an open limousine with first lady Jacqueline, was shot by sniper's bullets, on November
22, 1963.
Kennedy was riding in a motorcade slowly
through downtown Dallas when the two bullets struck him in the head. He was dead upon
arrival at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Lee Harvey Oswald, the 24-year-old
Dallas citizen accused of the slaying, was killed two days later by local night club owner
Jack Ruby.
